Drum and disc sanders have been around for many years and are ideal for bringing traditional floorboards back to life. Re sanding a floor that may be scratched and worn after a few years of use or for rejuvinating a laminated floor requires a different type of machine.
Jackson and Gocher Hire Centre have added a new machine to their range for just such circumstances. The machine, a floor orbital sander, works by using a sanding pad that oscillates at high speed. Sanding sheets as fine as 120 grit can be used and for a really fine finish an abrasive pad can be used equivalent to 240 grit paper.
